Work-a-Thon 2011

WHAT IS WORK-A-THON?
Work-A-Thon is an annual event in which Faith students, faculty, family and friends serve in our community while raising funds for our school. Each student works on a designated day in November. Junior high and high school students work off campus at various non-profit organizations that have partnered with Faith, such as homeless shelters, nursing homes, and food banks. Elementary students work on Faith’s campus performing beautification and clean-up tasks, such as planting flowers, raking leaves, and sweeping sidewalks.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Grapevine Faith exists to develop and graduate authentic Christian leaders. Work-A-Thon supports our mission by instilling in our students a strong sense of their roles in the community, church and family while raising funds for our school. Students learn the importance of serving others and are exposed to service opportunities that exist throughout our community

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Work-A-Thon Kickoff is on September 20th.  Faith Families will be asked to invite relatives and friends to support them by making donations for their work in the community or on campus.  Every family will receive a packet containing instructions and materials on September 20th.

Faith parents can also support Work-A-Thon 2011 by example. Please indicate your willingness to volunteer for Work-A-Thon by filling out the volunteer form in the family portal at www.FaithWorkAThon.com.  Together we can grow as servant leaders within the body of Christ.

Thank you in advance for supporting
Work-A-Thon 2011!
