In keeping with the Faith Christian School mission to develop and graduate authentic Christian leaders, all high school students are required to document ten hours of community service each semester as part of their Bible class credit. Five of these hours may be from work done at a Faith related activity or event. Those students not completing the required hours by the deadline shown below will receive a ten point deduction from their second and/or fourth quarter Bible grade. This deduction in points affects each semester grade, therefore, resulting in a negative impact on your student’s GPA and class ranking. Please address this issue with your student as soon as possible.
- Work-A-Thon hours do not count toward the 10 Bible service hours.
- Service must be unpaid and serving those in the community other than family members.
- Service hours should be performed at a non-profit organization.
- Recorded hours for the first semester are due on or before December 19.
- Recorded hours for the second semester are due on or before May 18th for Seniors and June 2 for 9th - 11th graders.
If your student has any questions, please email Janet Ethridge or call at (817) 442-9144 ext. 185.
